This mountain biking tour is one of the few tours on the other side of the Mekong River and is a challenging and fun half-day ride. It’s an off-road roller coaster up and down hills as you pass rice paddies and villages.

Be prepared to get a little wet as there are some stream crossings. You’ll definitely work up an appetite, so we’ll take you to a riverside village with a fantastic view of Luang Prabang and stop for a local lunch. Cross the Mekong River on the local ferry for final return to Luang Prabang.

GET ACTIVE AND OFF-ROAD IN LAOS: HALF-DAY MOUNTAIN BIKING (L)

Meet your guide early morning and get sized up on one of our quality mountain bikes.  Ride a short distance to the Mekong River where we’ll board a ferry to cross the river.  On this tour – one of the few on the opposite side of the Mekong River – you’ll meet villagers at work in their fields and witness real life on the back roads of Laos.

We’ll ride a looping circuit about 35 km medium biking on dirt roads with some hills and stream crossings.   It’s a half-day ride, but you’ll be well off the beaten path and into a side of Luang Prabang that few foreigners explore.  A professional guide accompanies you on every step of the way.
